Back when success wasn’t measured in clicks or headlines, we knew what really counted: having a good name we could stand behind.
For more than 47 years, Fairbank Construction Company has built our reputation throughout Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island by doing one thing consistently well—showing up, doing honest work, and standing behind it.
Fairbank Special Services, established 23 years ago as a dedicated division of Fairbank Construction, was created to bring that same level of care, craftsmanship, and reliability to renovation, repair, and smaller-scale projects that matter deeply to homeowners and property stewards.
Our Fairbank Special Services story picks up where Fairbank Construction steps back. Because a home—or any built structure—is never fully completed. It carries in it the unfolding story of the people who live and work within it, shaped by the seasons of life and the continual reimagining of space to reflect evolving identity and purpose. We build spaces as life unfolds for our clients, welcoming what’s coming next for them.
Across both our parent company and Special Services division, one principle has quietly guided our work:
If you want people to look for you, do a good job.
That philosophy has shaped how we build—not just structures, but relationships. Over decades of work, our team has formed enduring partnerships with skilled artisans, architects, and designers of form and space, alongside forging enduring bonds with clients that, more often than not, last a lifetime.
Clear communication based on trust, thoughtful planning based on a common objective, and a harmony of effort based on mutual respect: we have found these to be the reasons our clients come again and again, and why they are thrilled to invite us on their journey.
From time to time, our work has been noticed. We’ve gathered some of those mentions here. These are stories told by others about us, reflections from the communities we serve, and stories we’ve written together with our clients in steel and concrete, wood and nail.
A good name, we’ve learned, is built the same way anything lasting is—one nail, one brick, one day at a time.
